Here are some great rebate tips to follow. We want you to get your rebate quickly!
Make your purchase(s) and send in your rebate form during the promotional period.
Each promotion has date ranges in which you can purchase and submit your information to receive your rebate. You must make your purchase within the dates stated on the rebate form. Make sure you mail in your completed form before the printed submission date. You should always try to send in your form 5-7 days before the expiration date to make sure the envelope gets postmarked in plenty of time. Please note that we are not responsible for submissions that are lost, damaged, misdirected or delayed in the mailing process.
Fill out the form completely.
Complete all of the information requested on your rebate form. Do not leave anything blank. If we ask for it, we need it to verify your purchase! Print clearly, preferably with black or blue ink, using block letters. If we can’t read it we can’t process it. Sign and date the rebate form (if required).
Check all the requirements for your rebate.
Your rebate receipt/rebate form will list exactly what you need to purchase to receive your rebate. Check for the exact product name, size, model, color or version. The form will list the product SKU or UPC so that you can ensure you have purchased the correct product(s). If you think you have not purchased the required product, check with the store where you made your purchase.
Check your form to locate any additional information that is needed. Most rebates require you to send specific proofs of purchase so don’t throw anything away! You may be required to send in original proofs, photocopies or a combination of both, so make sure you check your rebate form for specific instructions.
Standard Proof of Purchase (POP) including UPC Codes, Register Receipts or Invoices.
- UPC Bar Codes - UPC stands for Universal Product Code. Every product you purchase has this code. Check your form to see if you need to send in the original bar code or a photocopy. This bar code may be located on the back, bottom or side of your product packaging or wrapper. Here is an example of what a UPC bar code looks like:
- Store Register Receipt - When you make your purchase(s) in-store you will be given a store register receipt. The receipt is our proof that you actually purchased the merchandise. The register receipt should provide a product description and purchase price. You may want to circle the purchase on your receipt to ensure we identify the purchase.
- Web Confirmation/Shipping Slip - If you purchased online you should receive a purchase confirmation via email as well as a packing slip in the box. Check your rebate form to verify what needs to be mailed in to confirm your purchase. You may want to circle the purchase on your slip to ensure we identify the right product.
- Alternate Proofs of Purchase - Sometimes the manufacturer may require additional proofs of purchases such as a specific portion of the product packaging, a product seal or a previous product that is being upgraded (such as a software CD or manual cover). Check your rebate form closely to see if any of the requirements are requested.
Make a photocopy of everything.
If we have any questions about anything you are submitting, your photocopies may help us resolve them. This will also assist you if you need to follow-up on your rebate submission. Make sure to note your offer number so that you can check your status online. Without copies of everything you sent in, it may be difficult to resolve potential issues that may occur.
Mail your submission.
Mail your completed rebate form and any additional requirements to the address given on your rebate form. Make sure you provide the proper postage for your mailing, especially if you are required to send in proof of previous purchases for upgrades. Allow 10-12 weeks for your submission to be received, processed and payment sent to you. If it has been 12 weeks since you mailed your submission and you have not yet received your rebate, click on “Track Your Rebate” to check on the status of your submission.
